Kronwere Medical's founder is an ER doctor. Mingo covers students from medical-school entrance exams through to residency, one platform serving two audiences with different stakes and different reasons to quit.

Exam prep fails in week six. The student who signed up in week one stops opening the app, and on a freemium model that is where the revenue goes with them. Question banks are everywhere and most of them are adequate, so the thing worth building was the reason to come back.

The architecture question was real-time multiplayer. Two students answering the same question set at the same moment need the same state, and a request-response framework does not carry that on its own. Laravel runs the question bank, the study plans, and billing. The socket layer sits in Node.js, with Redis holding live session state between the two.

Above that sit the parts students see: exam simulations built to the format of the real papers, achievements and leaderboards, and study plans that adapt to whatever the analytics say a student keeps getting wrong.

Freemium ties it together commercially. Free access covers enough to build the habit. Premium opens specialty content, residency preparation included, for the students furthest along and most willing to pay.

Four things had to hold before launch: cohorts, state, format, and the paywall.

CEO at Kronwere Medical
The most impressive I think is how they can communicate with the buyer. Neo Vision launched the platform on time and their work contributed to about 3000 users taking advantage of the platform. They had great project management skills and created a detailed timeline for every aspect of the project. The team remained available and was very responsive.
