Tattoo Studio Pro began as a waiver-management app for tattoo studios, built without a programming background and launched with heavy technical debt. It stabilised and earned steady revenue, but scaling and the move to SaaS needed a stronger foundation, so the team brought in a partner to refactor and expand it across web and mobile.
Phase one refactored the backend on Firebase and Firestore, adding role-based access control, financial tracking, and optimised queries. Phase two built a web application with feature parity and a central dashboard for appointments, client profiles, and reports, with Typesense for real-time search. Phase three rebuilt the mobile app on React Native with Expo, adding onboarding, multi-step registration, drag-and-drop interfaces, real-time appointment tracking, and customisable financial reporting.
