Ordinul Arhitecților din Romania is fully dedicated to regulating the profession of architecture, stressing the importance of moral and ethical values, good practices, high expectations, creativity, and academic challenges. The order takes on the mission of creating the legislative, professional, and competitive environment required for excellence in the multiple contexts of the profession of architecture.

Debrief

The objective was to create a website that showcases and highlights OAR's vision for the field of architecture. By focussing resources on the promotion and consolidation of quality architecture in all its forms and manifestations, they elevate the Order to the status of a single unified voice for the profession in the community, nationally and internationally.

What we used

WordPress

The most popular open source Content Management System (CMS) is used by approximately 75 million websites. WordPress is free to install, deploy, and upgrade.

CSS

HTML defines the content, and CSS decorates it and helps tell how it is displayed. CSS stands for Cascading Stylesheet. This means a hierarchy of style attributes overwriting other attributes that affect the same elements.

PHP

PHP (recursive acronym for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) is a widely-used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML.

HTML5

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the most basic building block of the Web. It defines the meaning and structure of web content. Other technologies besides HTML are generally used to describe a web page's appearance/presentation (CSS) or functionality/behavior (JavaScript).

JavaScript

JavaScript is a computer-readable language that has many uses, most notably in web pages. JavaScript is "read" or interpreted by your browser, like Chrome or Firefox, which executes the instructions. JavaScript enhances the web page by allowing it to become more "interactive."
